It gives me immense pleasure to write about the outstanding service rendered by the Shrinivas Kulkarni Charitable Trust, Kumta. At a time when education has become very expensive, many talented students from economically disadvantaged families are forced to drop out. The Trust has emerged as a ray of hope for these students. By extending financial assistance of more than ₹25 lakhs each year to deserving students, it helps ensure that poverty does not stand in the way of education.

What makes the Trust special is not just the amount of support, but the sincerity and transparency with which it identifies students in genuine need. The Trust is investing in the future of our nation. I have personally witnessed students complete their higher education with its continued support and establish themselves successfully in life.

Beyond supporting talented students in need, the Trust is involved in wider community service. As a member of the Lions Club of Kumta, I have personally seen its support for the construction of a girls’ toilet block at a government school in Kumta. The Trust also supports organisations such as Lions International and Rotary International in their nation-building activities.

I wholeheartedly appreciate and congratulate the Chairman of the Trust, Dr. Milind Kulkarni, for his commitment and dedication to supporting those in need. I also commend all the trustees for their selfless service to society. May their work continue to grow from strength to strength.
